It all started with an idea: What would it be like if Opera Europa, Ópera Latinoamérica and OPERA America joined forces to create a truly global opera summit?
The result was the first-ever World Opera Forum, which took place in April 2018 at Teatro Real in Madrid. Over the course of two days, representatives from North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australasia and Africa focused on the most pressing global issues and the future directions of the art form.
